Three intensive weeks in Mersch brought together around 112 players of every level for technical development, match practice and individual coaching with an international Fortress coaching team.
From 10 to 28 August 2026, Fortress Table Tennis welcomed players to Mersch for three consecutive weeks of focused summer training. From beginners discovering the sport to experienced competitors preparing for the new season, every participant trained in an environment built around learning, effort and enjoyment.
Players were organised into three level groups so that each session could match their stage of development. The programme combined technical exercises, footwork, service and receive, match situations and competitive play. Individual feedback helped players understand the details of their game and put improvements into practice immediately.
Week two added a valuable international dimension as coach Gaber Elzaher brought a group of seven players from Germany to train alongside our Luxembourg-based participants. Players from France and Austria also joined the camp, bringing together different playing styles, creating new training partnerships and giving everyone more varied match experience.
The programme maintained strong momentum throughout all three weeks, culminating in a lively final week with a full training hall in Mersch. Our international coaching team included coaches from Luxembourg, Germany and France, with seven coaches working alongside the players during the final week. We were also pleased to welcome guest coach Chantal Mantz, whose experience added another valuable perspective to the programme.
More than the hours spent at the table, the camp was about building confidence, discipline and friendships. Players challenged themselves, supported one another and finished the summer with fresh motivation for the season ahead.
